On 04-07.06.2009 Delegation from Człuchów thanks to Uslar authorities’ invitation visited Uslar. The visit  of representatives of town authorities, Town Council, administrative units, artists and athletes was to celebrate the 10th anniversary of signing the twinning agreement.

The delegation was welcome very friendly by the town authorities and citizens. For two days Człuchów was presented in the information tent. Lots of people visited the tent. The guests of the information tent could receive German brochure about Człuchów, gadget, watch movie about Człuchów and taste Polish food products – sausages, bread with lard, low-salt pickels and candies. 

Ceremonial Town Council Sitting was held during the visit with the participation of Mayor of Uslar - Martina Daske, Mayor of Człuchów - Ryszard Szybajło, Landrat of Northeim - Michael Wickmann and the President  of the Heimatkreis Człuchów - Werner Panknin - who signed the declaration of further twinning cooperation (later it will be signed also by the Landrat Człuchów - Aleksander Gappa).

After speeches made by representatives of towns, Poviat/Landrat, Heimatkreis, delegates of the Parliament, there was time to exchange gifts.

The Mayor of Uslar gave the Mayor of Człuchów prepared for the occasion post stamps.

From the President of the Heimatkreis Człuchów representatives received photo taken10 years ago when the twinning agreement was signed and scraps from newspapers about this event.

Uslar received from Człuchów: Picture painted by local artist, framed photos with monuments in Człuchów from Człuchów Photo Contest and basket with Polish delicious.

A pleasant surprise was that the Mayor of Uslar has invited the Mayor of Conches (Mayor of our twinning town from France).

In the session of Town Council in Uslar was participating the delegation from the Townhall Office in Człuchów…

… and artists from Municipal Culture House in Człuchów.

During the celebrations under the title „Friende zu Besuch in Uslar” there were artistic performances as well.

The Mayors of Człuchów and Uslar together opened the concert.

On the stage appeared i.a.: "Drugaki debeściaki", "Spoko-Luzaki", Tongue band, soloists and dancers.

Elvis gathered around the most of fans!

Additional attraction for children and youth was a trip to Getinga, presentation how to produce wood charcoal and ecumenical mass.

Adults could visit the town, surrounded region and factories in Uslar.

The volleyball teams did not let down – they won two medal positions.
