On 04-07.06.2009 Delegation from Człuchów thanks to Uslar authorities’ invitation visited Uslar. The visit  of representatives of town authorities, Town Council, administrative units, artists and athletes was to celebrate the 10th anniversary of signing the twinning agreement.

On 14-16 March in our twinning town Uslar ”Uslar Erleben” fairs took place. During the event German companies and institutions and twinning towns were advertised for Uslar region citizens. Człuchów with its tourist offer was represented by the Mayor of Człuchów - Ryszard Szybajło, the director of Sports Centre - Igor Bodziak and subinspector for commercial advertise - Marcin Matczak.
The stand attract visitors with its interesting arrangement (banners, multimedia presentation, paitings) and varried leafleats presenting Człuchów and region. The visitors could also taste Polish food – sausages and bread with lard and pickles.

 

On 18-19 November Mayor of Człuchów – Ryszard Szybajło visited Uslar. He was invited to open paintings exhibition presenting works painted by Człuchów’s citizen – Stanisława Sierant. The exhibition is presented in Museum in Uslar in December. In the delegation were: the director of the Municipal Culture House – Adam Bondarenko and the director of Regional Museum in Człuchów – Ewa Homa-Rożek. In addition to the exhibition during the meeting representatives discussed the future cooperation and the celebration of the 660th Anniversary of Człuchów.

On 14 – 18 June 2007 Człuchów was visited by 100-people delegation from Uslar (Człuchów’s twinning town in Germany). They were the representatives of Townhall, associations, organizations and youth – school orchestra, rock bands, dancers and singers.
Ceremonial opening of “Człuchów-Uslar – Friendship Days” was in the castle. At the opening were present invited guests and local authorities, aldermen, representatives of organizations and associations from Człuchów. The wishes were to further develop cooperation in all aspects of social life.
For adult representatives of Uslar and Człuchów two thematic commissions were prepared: education, culture, sport, ecology and social commission and infrastructure, economy and budget commission. During discussion new contacts were established among entrepreneurs, that will benefit in the future.
During Friendship Days a ceremonial opening of two exhibitions took place in Regional Museum: exhibition of paintings and sculptures by artists from Uslar and Człuchów and thematic exhibition “Kłusownicy-Poachers”.
The youth from Uslar had the pleasure to take part in the school classes with Polish students and to sightseeing our town.
In fully filled schedule of the visit there was also time for some entertainment. After a parade on Człuchów’s streets, in which lots of people took part, children from Człuchów wished the authorities of Człuchów and Uslar all the best. German band Elanel and Mike the King invited all spectators to have some fun.
Discos for youth, concerts of Człuchów’s and German bands and other performances led to great integration of all people according to the concert title “Nothing separates us but we have a lot of in common”.
The guests left Człuchów pleased and hope to come back in near future.
“Friendship Days” were co-financed by the Polish-German Cooperation Fund and Europe for Citizens – Town Twinning Citizen’s Meeting.

The visit of representatives of Uslar. Dirk Rackwitz and Peter Herbold met with representatives of Człuchów to discuss joint projects for 2006. It need to be stressed that this year is the 1000th Anniversary of Town Uslar. To celebrate this event in 14 – 18  June Człuchów Days will find place in Uslar and at the beginning of April Człuchów will be presenting its offer during trade fairs UslarERleben in Uslar. The representatives of both towns also talked about youth meetings and holiday recreation camp for children in Prival at the Baltic Sea. The guests participated in the openning of a new sports hall at the Technical Schools Centre in Człuchów.

Flag of Człuchówcan be found in garden in Uslar, our twinning town in Germany. It can be seen as a proof of continuously developing contacts between Uslar and Człuchów. To prove that, we can also recollect the past holidays when children form Człuchów’s Gymnasium no.1 “Kazimierz Jagiellończyk” spend two weeks of recreation in camp in Prival (Germany) and joint project KiMuKu where children from Primary School “Friends of Earth” participating in international theatric workshops. Above mentioned projects were supported by the EU. Towns together applied for suport of these project to EU. Thanks to together efforts it was possible to gain about 93 000, 00 zł for the holiday recreation of children from Człuchów in Germany. We are also glad, that it is only the beginning of the together implemented projects. The last meeting with our German partners in Uslar has created opportunities for some new projects that can be supported by the EU Funds. We can mention Człuchów Days in Uslar, trade fairs in Uslar, youth exchange, football competition in Northeim, tennis players camp in Uslar and artistic workshops in Człuchów. Surely it is a good sign for the future.

Once again we have the delegation from Uslar (Germany) as guests in Człuchów. The main aim of the visit was to give the name and flag for Primary School No. 1 in Człuchów. Furthermore, the representatives of both towns discussed issues that refer to joint project „KiMuKu” (joint artistic workshops for children in Uslar), holiday recreation of children from Człuchów in Priwal (Germany) and tourist offer of both twinning towns. We inform that Uslar has presented very interesting offer of holiday recreation.
